Hi guys,
yesterday i downloaded Lion!
I couldn't stand the look of the Dock and the Stacks, so i decided to install inset.

I knew, that it was designed for snow leopard, but it has an uninstall function so i thought, i could give it a try.
Well, it didn't work, neither did the uninstall function :(
now, it looks like that:

What can i do about it? Do you have any ideas?

First, try to Repair Disk Permissions, if that doesn't work, try replacing the system files, I uploaded mine here for you to use.

Put the 2 .rsrc files here ->

Code: Select all
Macintosh HD/System/Library/Frameworks/Carbon.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/HIToolbox.framework/Versions/A/Resources

Then put the bin files here ->
Code: Select all
Macintosh HD/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CoreUI.framework/Versions/A/Resources

Good luck!

Fabio Graetz wrote:Thank you! But i still have problems:
1. I looked for a tutorial about repairing disk permissions and it says, that i have too use my Mac-Os-DVD while restarting. Well, since Lion works without one, i don't have it.
2. Therefore, I tried to put the files in the named directory but i coulnt replace them, because they are in use.
What shell I do now?
Thanks a lot!
Fabio

You don't need a DVD to repair permissions, all you need to do is go into Disk utility and hit "Repair Disk permissions"

Also, if that doesn't work again, try killing the Dock, and SystemUIServer through Terminal

Here's the code you need to type in

Code: Select all
killall Dock; SystemUIServer

If your desktop turns Grey and then back to your wallpaper, it worked. Then try again to replace the files. It should work this time.

Once again, good luck!

I have the same problem here :/

Replacing the files didn't help :(
Well, sorry about that boys, I had Obsidian Menubar installed, which explains the issue described above.

You can replace them again with this fixed backup -> http://cl.ly/8geU

Or you can download the Obsidian Menubar package and run the uninstaller.

Either one will work, glad to know that most of it worked.
Thank u! :) Everything is perfect now! :)
