Atheist Pocket Debater

Once again, thank you for all of the hard work you put into this! :)
@Callie

I just happened to have one I'd already made of Pocket Atheist Debater, so.. :)

I personally find Creationist Claims more polished and more like a reference material with constant sourcing and such, and it's ~free~. ;)

Agh, and just when I was getting somewhere with moco cam an it was starting to look nice, Photoshop inexplicably crashes. :-[ I think that was my cue to get to bed.

pat974 wrote:Sorry, i wanted to say icon folder method ( i use it) then...

The problem with the Icon method is that if you use it to theme your icons, then say, open up a folder or the multitasking dock, your icon will revert to the original.

that's true but you do not open up folder or multitasking dock so often and sure it's a desagrement but the icons look really nice and it's easier to theme...

I have a kind of workaround for the folder/multitasking issue, I manged to get round it, I use the standard app's in bundles and everything else in icons folder, multitasking and the icons show as the themed icons, it works pretty good:

slyfox wrote:Okay, so here is what my phone looks like now: http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/zz28 ... ample1.png

As you can see, no shadows and everything lines up:
http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/zz28/slyfoxesq/suavehd/sample2.png

Also, none of the icons are pixelated or "shrunk" looking; they're displaying at the right resolution and perfectly match the files when you lay one over the other.

All I did was crop the template for the app store icons and then move down 2 pixels:
http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/zz28/slyfoxesq/suavehd/sample3.png

Original Suave HD Template: http://www.mediafire.com/?3xfwvwk92le2839
My version of the corrected Template (for new icons): http://www.mediafire.com/?ry7bf6b7omn7tm1
The Photoshop action to adjust old icons automatically: http://www.mediafire.com/?r6b3lyoh48wuqk2

I'm holding off on batch adjusting the ones that have been made until we get a consensus and Pat & Thyraz approve. :)

That is fantastic! Can you batch adjust app store icons? We all will REALLY appreciate it. :)

The only problem here is that I assume the icons in the background will show all the same display issues we have been trying to solve in the first place, right? (Nevermind having to do all the bundles work anyway.)

Yes, I can and I've been gathering up the icons from the thread in anticipation of doing just that, but I'd like to have the theme-makers' permission first. :)

I edited my post #3886 with screenshots. I had a closer look, the biteSMS icon is definitely lower, but I couldn't see any shadow in the dock. Facebook, Twitter and Stanza icons definitely have shadows.

Hi res screenshot below.

So yes, you are correct, but if you read finkle's post from waaaay back (page 92 http://macthemes.net/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=718934), you will see that it can be solved.

No shadows :D and props to finkle.

finkle316 wrote:This is for iPhone 4 running iOS 4.0.1, Suave Icons. Remove shadows......... This will only look correct if all of your icons are themed.

Remove shadow from App Store icons.

Using your iPhone browser software i.e DiskAid, iPhone Browser....... etc. Navigate to:

system/library/privateframeworks/mobileicons.framework

Rename the following 3 files with a 1 or _alt or anything you want to use at the end of @2x
Example: AppIconMask@2x_alt.png

AppIconMask@2x.png AppIconOverlay@2x.png AppIconShadow@2x.png

****DO NOT DELETE THESE FILES!!!!! RENAME THEM********

After a respring, you will notice that your App Store icons will look wierd. This will break the auto theming that the OS does automatically for App Store apps that doesnt have pre-made icons. So if all of your App Store icons are not themed, they are going to look wierd until you theme them. I do know that there are other ways of doing this by replacing the masks but I find this to look the cleanest.

http://i959.photobucket.com/albums/ae77/finkle316/screen-1.png

This removes the shadows from default icons, dock icons and switcher icons.

Place the following 2 files in: library/themes/your theme name/bundles/com.apple.springboard.

Transparent Image

http://i959.photobucket.com/albums/ae77/finkle316/SwitcherIconShadow2x.png

Respring and your done.
