Ok i just saw this from another thread, this might be the easiest way to them those app store icon. Basically make a Folders theme inside the Glassklart folder, and then the .app folder you want to theme. It'll look like this LibraryThemesGlassklartFoldersFacebook.app, and then just put the icon@2x.png inside the Facebook.app. Just make sure you know the name for the app and what to name the icon.png

Can I request

I tried a few that haven't been updated and it seems like it worked fine with a high res icon.
@Max: will you try my Winterboard icon and see if it works right for you? Let me know what I did wrong.

Non-AppStore apps have that issue I guess. What I did was create the icon and pasted it on top of the AppIconShadow that was included with the template. Hope that helps.

Great theme, looks very nice on my phone.

Was in a rush, and was not able to read all the replies, but if they have not been requested...would someone mind making an IM+ and Colloquy icon?

Thanks again.

EDIT: I REALLY love the lock screen too!

Okay. I see how it works. The transparency issue was only for App Store apps. That's why we need to include the other part of the icon on things like biteSMS and Winterboard. I'll reupload them in a few.

If it isn't too much to ask, could you include the base in the .psd so we can see what the finished icon will look like? Right now I'm using a flat grey background but it doesn't help much with placement and sizing...
From now on I'll just put the info and icon for iPhone, but only the icon for iPad. I don't have an iPad and don't want to guess on what they'd be called.

thanks DavisCreation for updating your posts to include the bundle identifier for each of the icons. however, you didn't update it for facebook and the weather channel on post #32. why can't i view the bundle identifier when i try to open info.plist ?

Depends on how you do this. You need to create a folder that carries the name of the app (like com.apple.me.iDisk) which you can either find because someone already wrote it down, or because you browsed through the cryptic directories at /Libray/Applications and looked in the respective info.plist files which are found in the directory with the apps name (like iDisk.app/info.plist).

Into this directory you copy the icon file for your particular platform. Since sometimes the icons are named the same (icon.png) for the iPad and the iPhone, you need to take the correct one. Dunno what happens otherwise, but I guess it will be messed up somehow.

Then respring Winterboard (by choosing a theme, deselecting it immediately it will offer this option) and enjoy. If you did everything right (and I described it correctly with my darn cold I got) you should see some new and shiny icons.
why isn't this working for some apps?

for biteSMS i created /Themes.xxxxxx/Glashklart HD.theme/Folders/biteSMS.app/icon@2x.png

but when trying to do the same for example WinterBoard (/WinterBoard.app/icon@2x.png), nothing
Even .../Bundles/com.saurik.WinterBoard/icon@2x.png isn't working

Well, concerning Winterboard....

If you look into the Winterboard Application Folder (/Applications/WinterBoard.app) and check the info.plist File there, there is no reference to an icon to find. But in the directory itself, there are two png-Files, called Icon-Small.png and icon.png.

Looking at what you wrote, I would guess that you gave the icon the wrong name, since it's not called icon@2x.png, right?

So, rename it icon.png, and you should be good.

Deducting from your post, I would guess that you are under the impression that every icon is called icon@2x.png. This is not the case, please check my above list, for example.

Also, the folder unter ...Bundles/ is NOT called like the app. You really (!!) need to read the Readme. The folder is called like the application identifier in the info.plist-File. This will usually look like

com.apple.me.iDisk

Meaning it's apple.com, their MobileMe subdivision, and the app called iDisk.

Sorry to be this candid, but rtfm.

I am living under the impression that people are just looking for the last page and putting their requests here. Without even looking back I know that at least iBooks is in the thread and done (iBooks being the very first).

First: read my post and post #51! I created "name.app" in FOLDERS not BUNDLES.
second: com.saurik.WinterBoard is the correct folder in BUNDLES (exaclty as I wrote)

third: yes, I noticed that some apps need the icon to be icon.png (not icon@2x.png).
thanks for pointing it out, but you don't have to be a d**khead about it
Max Rudberg wrote:http://www.maxthemes.com/images/zoomed-glasklarthd.jpg

Rethought & remade for retina display. Optimized for WinterBoard using the snappier™ bundles method. Out-of-the-way transparent WinterBoard theme that let's you really showcase your wallpaper. Glasklart is swedish, it means "clear as glass".

(........)

Please, please, read the Read Me included with the template for information on how to set up your device for theming, how to use Bundles, the template and how to contribute icons.

Raving about the readme, there is an error in it, at least concerning the iPad.

You write "Then drop the "com.apple.mobileicons" folder inside /Library/Themes/Glasklart HD.theme/Bundles/ and replace it."

The folder on the iPad is called "com.apple.mobileicons.framework". You need to delete the old templates and put the new ones in, then everything works as planned :)
