If you are a bit new to photoshop it can look intimidating but it is not all that hard.

Wow thank you for the explanation, one question is the center layer just a brush swipe or a filter?

It is the texture that is sitting on the base. Basically it is just a fill that has some transparency sporadically all over it so that the base color can show through a little bit. The top layer you do not see at all it is just there for a slight bevel effect on the edge of the glyph.

These look pretty good. The bevel on the 9 needs to be softened though.

Are you getting errors unzipping the file or opening it in photoshop? I used CS3 for the template I think. I did use the macOS compress option this sometimes makes the zip a little wonky on the PC. I will reZip it correctly and upload it again if that is the issue.
