I prefer grass instead of the water...
And could you, please, remove the slider bar from the theme?

But what image should I rename to sunny_night.png ?
Edit: I choosed an random icon and rename it to sunny_night.png ... with no effect.
edit2: OK, OK ... i rename random icon to sunny_nightsmall.png and that is working
So, all I need is replace it with a correct icon named sunny_nightsmall.pngbut I don't have the correct one
Thanks for testing!
I will post the right icon tomorrow !

Re: Animated Weather Elements HD V2 AND V3 by MNIDHK (New version !!!)
i'm gonna have to say what most are saying: number one but no slider or the ghost slider i talked about a couple pages back.
also, maybe it was overlooked, but do you remember my post about active precipitation? where snow actually falls and rain actually falls, there is a snowfall homescreen widget that uses .html, i believe, in Cydia that came out around Xmas. you could use that type of code to show the snow pr rain. so, when the condition is snow, instead of a static image of falling snow, why not literally have falling snow? i im nearly positive this is possible. when the condition calls for a specific .png, it also layers in a html behind it (or replace the .png with the .html entirely and have the .png as the .html background), thus giving the appearance of snow from the clouds, or rain or whatever.
let me know what you think of this. i think it would bulk up the entire package size, but, remove or simplify all the .js and it would add up about the same.
also a side note: .html use much less memory than .js, so i would give up the animation where the clouds appear with active snow any day. it would conserve battery, and more importantly never have the lag people complain about when they try to answer a call, or unlock they have to wait on the animation to finish.
@everyone else: do you guys think this is a good idea and worht working on, or do you prefer the .js animation of a static image appearing? holla at me

More animation=faster battery drain.
I know that snow falling, rain pouring are great but what about battery?
I've seen that xmas widget you are talkin about and I noticed that it's compiled from many png's which are changing very fast.
I don't think so that this idea is a good solution.As I said before...more animation=faster battery drain.
And what don't you like in that slider? For me is better to leave slider on put.

oh, well there are .html widgets out there ive seen that have falling objects, i dont know what the actual name that is called but it only consist of like 3 or 4 .pngs that are used repeatedly simultaneously. is would use LESS battery bc the code is only a few lines long that define how many particles there are and how fast etc. to add to that, i said that we could drop the fade in fade out, bc that is .js code which is bulky and memory intensive, thus a battery hog.
i like an invisible slider bc we all know where the slider is, so having it there just adds cluter to me.
the perfect lockscreen would have everything i need, and nothing i dont (i.e. a slider i dont even see when i use).

Hey guys,
I've made a small mod for myself, so if you are interested you can download it below.
- No animation, so when it updates it just changes.
- Slide to unlock/answer works always
- Other minor changes to the layout and gfx.

thank you
No, it's NOT the Status Notifier APP, it's some code inside the Weather Elements (related to SN). I've just disabled its use in SN and it still puts its little icons on the top line of the display (like it always did). I don't think you need the icons in two places on the same screen anyway.

It's got no animation, so when it updates it just changes. This fixes the slide issue when animating. I've also made some minor changes to the layout and button gfx.

@ Manny
If you dont want the animationg, open the configure me file and look for the following code starting on the first line towards the end.
Code:
var ShowAnimationFirstTime=false; // lock iphone. Wake up iphone AFTER 1.5 minut and you see the animation of the weather. If you don't want to see the animation, set to false
The way its the code above is writtent so the animation does not show.

hello Sphere,
this is an moddified version of Katra's weather and have nothing to do with my theme Weather Elements. I started a new topic so that everybody knows the difference and that we can give support at the right theme. I appreciate if you post this in the right topic the next time. ![]()

I have never tested it but i think you must also change "LockBackground.html" into "Wallpaper.html"

TO ALL :
if you set "ShowAnimationFirstTime" to false you don't see the description of the weather instead of the city name.
Change the code and it works again.
Find in wallpaper.js :
Code:
if ((minutes>30)||(!ShowAnimationFirstTime)) {
document.getElementById("weatherIcon").src="Icon Sets/"+iconSet+"/"+MiniIcons[IconWeather]+iconExt;
document.getElementById("weatherIcon").style.opacity=1;
document.getElementById("fading1").style.opacity=1;
document.getElementById("fading2").style.opacity=1;
Firsttime=true;change it into :
Code:
if ((minutes>30)||(!ShowAnimationFirstTime)) {
document.getElementById("weatherIcon").src="Icon Sets/"+iconSet+"/"+MiniIcons[IconWeather]+iconExt;
document.getElementById("weatherIcon").style.opacity=1;
document.getElementById("fading1").style.opacity=1;
document.getElementById("fading2").style.opacity=1;
document.getElementById("desc").style.opacity=1;
document.getElementById("city").style.opacity=0;
Firsttime=true;Last edited by mnidhk (Feb 18, 2009 12:48 am)

Missing icon for forecast :
save as "sunny_nightsmall.png" in directory "Forecast"

Are you sure it should be this one?
It should represents "very cold with a little snow" weather condition, and this one doesn't match.
I know that file is named sunny_night but accuweather say that will be Very Cold and sunny_nightsmall.png icon is shown as very cold weather condition.
edit: I used snow5small.png as sunny_nightsmall.png. I think it match so much better for "very cold witha a little snow" weather condition.

Accuweather sends an icon for whole the day.
This are the same icons as for current weather. The icon they send is the icon that i posted.
The description is ""very cold with a little snow" . That means that overall that day is clear.
Very cold, so the sky would be clear. So yes, that is the right icon.

There is no icon for everything.
They must choose an icon to represent the forecast for whole the day.
For example:
forecast is mostly cloudy with rain in the morning and some sun in the afternoon.
You have not an icon for that so they choose an icon which represent the most accurate for the whole day and in my example it should be a cloudy icon.
AND along the day the icons for the forecast could change. So in your example it is possible that you see the clear world in the morning and a snow icon in the afternoon.
Offcourse you change everything wat you want but still i think it is the right icon!

ok but a moon on the icon tells nothing.I think there should be a blue sun (which would tell that is clear sky and very cold) but that kind of icon doesn't exist so I choosed a cloudy icon with a snow.
On Accuweather site "very cold with a little snow"weather condition is shown as a blue thermometer and this os the most accurate I guess.
Could you please make a blue thermometer?
