Re: [MS Extension] Five-Column SpringBoard (0.56 Coming Soon to Cydia)
So I was just playing around with this last night, and I remembered something very important.
Just like the Five Icon Dock gets pulled into every backup you make with iTunes, you must install Five Icon Dock before you restore from the backup, otherwise SpringBoard will not load.
Well is it the same with the Five Column SpringBoard? If I backup will I have to install this first along with Five Icon Dock to restore to my backup if I end up needing the restore the firmware?

You're a genius sakurina!
It looks awesome with the small icons. ![]()
I'm not gonna try it yet though.
I'm already confused with four columns

If you move your icons so that each screen has 16 or less icons, you shouldn't have an issue by restoring the backup. I haven't tested it though, but I'm guessing as this makes the most sense.

I'm a bit of a noob with this coding stuff, but is this meant to happen when I download the .deb file? - ![]()
In Safari if that makes any different ![]()
Edit: Forget it, did it with Firefox ![]()

You could right-click/control-click on it and save it to Downloads folder. ![]()
@sannixtudio: If you put it in /, then you need to be in / to run the command
iPhone:~ root# cd /
iPhone:/ root# dpkg -i fcsb-0.51.deb

Well... if you want to test, go back a page. The latest .deb file is there, follow the instructions, and you can run it. ![]()
I haven't updated it since then, mostly been following the keynote since I've woken up.

Re: [MS Extension] Five-Column SpringBoard (0.56 Coming Soon to Cydia)
The only problem I've had so far was when I set no docked and undocked labels in winterboard, it broke winterboard and no themes loaded. I solved this by just reinstalling winterboard so no harm done.

I guess it was inevitable. It's also really easy to find, I guess some people don't know how to use Google. ![]()
And if they can't use Google right, then they really shouldn't be installing this.

Re: [MS Extension] Five-Column SpringBoard (0.56 Coming Soon to Cydia)
Okay, this is going to be completely unsupported on 2.0, roobi got SWOD on uninstall. Didn't back up his plist and didn't have an SSH connection open, so he'll most likely have to restore. ![]()
edit: Hmm, apparently he rebooted after uninstall and it worked. Odd?
edit2: Okay, he forgot he backed it up. He found it, put it back, and it worked.
---
edit3: I have a request to all of the people who have this installed. Please try using this with all of your themes, preferably those with odd icon sizes. I don't know exactly how setOrigin positions the icons, so you might end up with some really weird stuff that I'd never stumble across without installing a bunch of themes.

but after some reboot I could move back the original plist and now it works again

Re: [MS Extension] Five-Column SpringBoard (0.56 Coming Soon to Cydia)
I referred to it on Page 1, I think. I believe it has something to do with how the icons are allocated in memory. I have no idea how to go about fixing that.

Great work! Not sure I'll keep it, as I don't have that many apps, but it's really nice to see what Mobilesubstrate is capable of.

Re: [MS Extension] Five-Column SpringBoard (0.56 Coming Soon to Cydia)
This looks great sakurina.
Amazing job.
But as winterboard themes I would like to be able to disable and enable it, like with a toggle or a little app.
I get tired of themes quickly so I change them regularly.
Hope there is something like that when it matures.
