Originally I was concerned about posting a modified version of Bodysoulspirit's work without his explicit permission, but as it seems much of the work was done by Apple to begin with, I figure it should be okay.  I've fixed the stars so they fade smoothly in and don't disappear before they reach the edge of the screen.

Be sure to choose "Options" in Screen Saver prefs while this screen saver is selected -- there's an optional addition there that you might like.

also, the X kind of obscures the vortex a lot. Not that the screensaver isn't flawless. this is just if you felt like going BEYOND perfect..... like, perhaps, stars that match the Time Machine ones.....

There are two version. with and without the sun. I made the one without the sun just for me so it wouldn't burn my screen, thought I share that too.

Is there any chance you could mod the starts so they stay small like in Time Machine? On a 24-inch iMac they become really pixelish.
