Re: iTunes-Style Theme for Leopard
Hello, thank you for this great mod! I've been using the scrollbar-only version that was released some months ago with no problems at all!
Can someone please confirm that this is working fine on PPC?
I replaced both files, logged out, logged in and then I had a white screen and the finder using 100% cpu, crashing and coming back again doing the same thing... The dock was visible but not clickable and also the icons on top right of the menubar appearing over the white screen!
I had to boot on single user mode and replace the files again with the backup I had, then everything was OK again!
Thanks!

This graphite version may take a while... I'm not very good at this.
EDIT: I believe that the scrollbars change to graphite when graphite is selected in the Appearance Preference Pane in System Preferences... I think that only the Progress bars need to be changed...

That's strange but since I do not own a PPC then I really can not find out what happened... there was someone who asked for PPC before so maybe they'll respond...

Re: iTunes-Style Theme for Leopard
The download link at deviantart should download the new one which should change the progressbars slightly to match graphite when you change the setting in System Preferences... but should also use the original scrollbars and progressbars when not in graphite... Sorry if I am confusing... it should work though.

How about a gray version matching the original scrollbar mod by roosta? ( http://www.box.net/shared/static/elgkcha6mj.rsrc )
I've been using those scrollbars since November. I think they match with Leopard's windows better than either the Aqua or Graphite styles. Screenshot: http://img.skitch.com/20080222-pqfswps3 … g8raet.png

Re: iTunes-Style Theme for Leopard
Well I am not too far on the All-iTunes theme... but good news I do have some things done... for example this when I was saving a new dock indicator I was making...
Where it says PNG that box is from iTunes.... If you go to the iTunes Store and look around you'll see it... still working on stuff though.

Re: iTunes-Style Theme for Leopard
It sounds like your making good progress and I'm loving the theme that you have going. I'm using what you have so far. Keep it up.
While writing this post I thought of a good idea. Because there are different variations of these .rsrc mods going around, wouldn't it be great to have a program that would let you choose what elements you want in your .rsrc. Like If you wanted the scroll bars to be iTunes, Safari url bar to be Aqua and the progress bars to be from the striped Evaporation mod. Although you can edit the .rsrc by hand in ThemePark, it can take a lot of time to place all the elements you want changed into their respective places. If you could figure out someway to create a program that would place different parts of .rsrc images into an included Extras2.rsrc you could make the variations that you want very easily.
I don't know if I am explaining this the best way possible so if you have any questions on what I'm trying to say just ask them and I will clarify.

How are you planning on doing that? As far as I know those elements are drawn by the new CoreUI frameworks. So far no one has been able to 'crack' it.

@.buffonitaly: I do understand what you are asking but that'd be very hard... maybe if I could make an installer I could make the installer only install the certain parts you select or something... but I can not even make a simple installer
@.Neo: I am trying to see if they are in the .rsrc files and if not then I'm not sure how I am going to do it... I'm just trying as best as I can.

Yes I know it is hard and I'm not expecting you to do it or anything, I guess it was more of an idea for the future if this takes off more around the mac community. Im sure someone out there has the ability to do something like this, so I was just saying that it would be cool. I'll look up on it around and then come back here with what I've found.

Not everything in the .rsrc files are actually used - in fact, I'd say most aren't. For example, there are resources for pointy sliders and push buttons - even Tiger's stoplight widgets - in the .rsrc files, but they're still drawn with Core UI - if you replace them, it won't do anything. I'd test to see if the resources in question are actually used before going through the work to replace them.
