Wow, I had no idea the theme was coming along so well. :p
My baby's growing up. I better get to work on an installer so you people can use the theme when it's done.
yeah, I've got to say I prefer the second one too.
Are both of them from the iTunes resources?
None of them... But I always refer myself to iTunes, pick the colors right from iTunes

You can't really take images from the itunes rsrc file, because, the images are really messy, it is better to refer to the colors as gcamp said.
Personally, I'm really liking the direction that MobileMe seems to be headed graphically (buttons, list, checkboxes). Of course, I can't find any higher resolutions of these pictures, and it seems as though the style isn't consistent throughout MobileMe, but I think it would fit in great with iLeopard! :)

Right click to view the image in a slightly higher resolution.

/edit: I managed to get some better pics, if anyone is interested. I could recreate them in Photoshop, but I have no clue what needs to be done to make them actually work, haha.

Exactly what I'm thinking....
MobileMe may just be the direction 10.6 is going, But I don't think I can wait a year for that. Maybe iLeopard 3.0 could use interface elements from MobileMe when 10.4 comes out next month.

maybe a darker border for checkboxs??
and
why buttons has shadows? itunes preferences page buttons doesn't have drop shadows... without dropshadow buttons looks as cleaner as tiggers(never forgotten tiger aqua mod) or toolbarbuttons...

You need to talk to Ghall...

And ...

ImageImage

I just used the Ghall's one and changed the color!
hmmm ok...

Ghall! please no shadows!! maybe highlights(like finders toolbar buttons) but no shadows! :)
Ok, we had some problem with the unfocused thing. If we make them the normal color trasparent they look like this :/

Image

So me and Ghall made them white with no trasparency and so the result :| :

Image

But if you take the black color and make it trasparent it looks ok... So it is what I did and it looks like this :-X

Image

But even I croped the image a little bit because there were black dots, that's why it is so pixelided. :(

Does somebody knows who to do them more transparent without black pixels? :*)

Which one is better white or trasparent black?

Anyway, it will be white in the 2.0. Maybe not in the 2.1 ;)

That's about the best picture I could find that shows off the style of MobileMe. If you guys are interested, for iLeopard 3.0 or something, I would be willing to work on some graphics. If not, does anyone with themeing knowledge want to help me create a MobileMe theme from scratch?
mobileme "theme" is a very good aqua's evolution :)
:-!:-! the buttons seems cast shadows :-!:-!
plastic capsule evolution for mail...

I think it's a great idea.... we can mix itunes style with mobileme style...
Yes mobileme could be great with white background. And the default button more coherent with the rest.
Hey everyone,

I just stumbled upon this thread and theme. The short of the compliments is that the theme is perfect.

I've run into a problem, though, and, aside from reading through the entire thread, was wondering if somebody could confirm this. With the theme installed, when a progress bar is moving, things on my screen get a bit choppy. It's most easily noticed for me when using iFlash (a flashcard program). The transitions aren't as smooth as they should be. I just uninstalled the theme to confirm and, indeed, it fixed the problem.

Perhaps this will help people figure the problem out, but I've also noticed that if I have Adium set to flash the dock with unread messages, the same exact "choppy" transition comes up. If I turn off the flash, it's fine. (I know that the problem with the theme is isolated to the theme because I tested it with nothing but Safari running a large download and the iFlash program going through some cards).

Another thing that suffers is the shifting of text in an Adium message windo with Protoscroll used as the message style (I hope you know what I'm talking about.) This also seems to happen whenever something is bouncing in the Dock, which leads me to believe that this may not be isolated to this theme, but may be a problem of sorts with Mac OS X 10.5.3.

Just so you know my system information, I'm running a new iMac 3.06GHz Core 2 Duo with 2GBs of RAM and the 8800 GS NVIDIA card with 512MBs VRAM. And I'm running the latest 10.5.3

I'm sorry for the long post. I'm just trying to answer questions that may be asked in response.

Keep up the great work with this theme. I really love the way it looks and wish that I could use it without the performance issues.
So when we can expect 2.0 version....? I can't wait to install it:)
I don't know if you've seen it, but the scroll bar used in full screen iPhoto might be nice for graphite(or just a dark version).

Can't wait for the day this is all finished. As much as I love Leopard, I was hoping it would have been iTunes themed all around. Keep up the good work!
left - without a question! it looks much more mature.
i love what you guys are doing! Thank you very much! This work is very pleasing to me.

I had an idea for an icon, assuming that one day the installer for iLeopard will get popular :)
I made a quick sketch of it. it's an Aqua button with its reflective look, only "painted" on the sides with a solid-matte blue-gray iTunes color. what do you think?

I really like iLeopard, but is there any way to change the menu highlight back to blue?

I think it should be an option, or maybe it has been discarded in 2.0. There are some changes that create more inconsistencies than they fix.
First of all I apologize for the lack of updates as of late.

Secondly, does anyone know if there's a themepark like program in the works for Leopard? I'm trying to hunt down the correct PNG files and then modifying them in PhotoShop it's really starting to tick me off. I'm stopping work on iLeopard until a ThemePark like app comes out, because I'm getting really frustrated with the current method. Then I'm getting all these requests like "please change this" and "please include graphite", well I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude but I've put a lot of time into this theme I'm not just going to go back and completely redo a little button that took me 3 hours to get right.

I don't really need to go into detail on the specifics of what is annoying me about the technical aspect of making this theme. For those of you who don't know, I posted a nice long bit about it earlier on in this thread. It has to do with the hunting around aimlessly to find the right PNGs.

This started as a project for fun. I really didn't intend it to get such a huge audience, which has been a big source of stress for me, and when something your doing for fun ceases to be fun, it's time to move on. I really wanted to see my baby 100% finished, but the commitment to thousands of people is just too much for me to handle right now.

I will keep the dropbox open for people who want to work on it, just know that I am done until a much less time consuming way of editing the ArtFile is found. I hope I'm not coming across as lazy, I'm just a bit fed up.

As for the lack of updates...well I've been procrastinating. I've been finding other things to do while on the computer, and I've also been just avoiding the computer entirely. It's just my (unhealthy) way of dealing with stress, just ignoring it.

Finally, I'd like to thank gcamp for his hard work, while in the middle of exams no less. I don't know how he did it, but I know for sure I wouldn't be able to. I really appreciate it, the theme wouldn't be so close to completion without him.
