[iTunes] iTunes 9 with Grid Dark Background MOD+Updated
iTunes 9 with Dark Grid View Background MOD
for Mac OS X 10.5+ & 10.6+
Install instruction:
1. Back up your original iTunes.exe(path: /applications/iTunes/Contents/MacOS/iTunes).
2.Backup your original English localized.rsrc
(/applications/iTunes/Contents/Resource/English.lproj/)
3.Copy the iTunes.exe & Lacalized.esecyou get from the pack into the path referred above.
4. Enjoy!
ATTENTION:
leopard default gamma is 1.8. SnowLeopard is 2.2.
This mod will make bug appear when gamma is 2.2.Replace iTunes.rsrc(/applications/iTunes/Contents/Resource/)
can fix a little better.

Hi Gniqu,
Related to gamma 2.2 default by Snow Leopard, I found this:-
"Some images that do not contain color profiles might appear darker in Mac OS X v10.6 than they did in earlier versions of Mac OS X. Adding the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile or Adobe RGB (1998) profile to these images lets them display correctly"
in apple support page.
Any hope?

I did this based on Gniqu itunes.rsrc file (im running 10.6.1). Still the shadows appear...

What about getting the grid view to black to match cover flow. I love that I have grid view back to its old self from that ugly white, but would like to see what it would be like black.

Is there any hope of getting this working on a PowerPC system? Seems the hex edit only changes if you're running it on an Intel one and my attempts at editing it for the PPC section just breaks iTunes.

Why my iTunes albums on the grid are rounded and in the preview they are not? I noticed that on Apple's site the picture is like yours, so what's the problem with mine? A mod that I put and forgot?
If so, how do I remove it?
