Impossible! What version of Growl are you using? How loaded pref panel - 32 or 64 bit?

Re: Growl SnowLeo (Release)
Growl loads in 64-bit if you install the beta (which works in SL) and 32-bit if you have the last stable release (works somewhat)

Yeah this happened to me as well. Completely destroyed my preference panel.
I have managed to fix it, had to uninstall growl then re-install it. Then double click on the growl style inside the growl style in the download link, tell it to override it, THEN put the style into growlhelper.app and restarted my mac. Everything seems to be working fine now.
After that fiasco the style is actually really nice. Just needs a better way to install it.

Sorry but let me doubt about it, I've installed Growl 1.2b1...it works, and when I want to install your theme...it didn't work... and it happens only with your theme:-!

Same problem here - installing this growl style under Growl 1.2 b1 (pre-release 1) causes the preference pane to no longer open.
Unfortunately, there's something wrong with your style.

Just removed and installed again, after a reboot- no problem.
Already downloaded and installed more than 250 people (2 hours) - works!

Re: Growl SnowLeo (Release)
I found the problem - it looks like the download link for just the growl style is actually your full install, include the hardware growler changes. When it's downloaded, it's expands to a folder named "SnowLeo.growlStyle", but it isn't really a growl style. Growl installs this bogus folder and things go awry.
Please double-check the growlstyle download.

Sure!
Recheck: install growl 1.1.6 or 1.2b1 and continue on my instructions - everything works...

That's exactly it. Works like a charm after "showing package contents" on the extracted file, then installing the growl style from there.
Thanks, Tony. ![]()

This is beautiful! Any chance of getting a version without that little arrow shape at the top of the box? It doesnt really fit that well if you have multiple notifications popping up. Otherwise this is great, thanks!

I love the arrow shape! It's reminiscent of the context menus from the dock!
