[theme] Leopard Milk - (ReRelease)
Here is a mod I made of Milk by Max Rudberg with colors derived from the original Leopard theme.
This is a plugin for Magnifique.
I have been working hard to get this as close as I can to the old Milk I miss so much! It is pretty close now aside from a few limitations.
1. Certain apps like Address book do not display the app title properly on the header.
2. Some apps like Onyx or VLC will show some imperfections if they are sized too small or too large.
3. Safari has a metal color favorites bar, but as stated earlier in this thread, I too agree that it looks kinda cool!

Big thanks to jivhg for originally porting over them theme!

The buttons and bars are the exact ones taken from the original Milk theme by Max Rudberg.

Sweet... Just to clear things up, that's actually a white theme right? I mean, I get excited seeing all these new themes that look pretty white, when they're really just inactive windows. But is this the real thing? It looks really cool.
Edit: Nevermind my question. I am using this theme now with Magnifique and I really like it. Thanks.

Great, but I found it doesn't work well with the bottom border of the VLC Player Controller and Address Book window, can you fix it? ![]()

Have you figured out which resources make up the these areas? I have not been able to find them yet. Something similar going on in Safari, but I guess that might be hard coded or something. ![]()
Thanks so much for all of the hard work that you have been doing lately! ![]()

I believe it is hardcoded in safari but I already knew what resources do the other thing ![]()

That grey/white thing actually looks sort of cool when they're right next to each other... ![]()

Re: [theme] Leopard Milk - (ReRelease)
i used to have milk as my 10.4 default osx theme for a long time
good initiative
but take a look:
please pair attention to the details
look the traffic lights, the real size of finder buttons,
some finder elements also arent skined like the quicklook buttom
the "apple" image from menubar, could be mini one (try to get permission with anubis for a good mini milk apple, he has a mini milk like theme and this was bloody beauty)
the scrool bars you can try getting permission with exxi
instead blue (also cool) in spotligh, you could try to have permission for use and mod the igual's menubar
this looks very promissing
with tweaks, this will become the ultimate milk port
check this out in next update and good luck ![]()
anubis mini milk: http://macthemes2.net/forum/viewtopic.p … 88&p=1
the black dropdown menu will be impossible, i know... but there are tons of hot elements

It is not so much a problem of pairing attention as it is the differences in the way Leopard uses the images. I wish it could be more true to the original myself, but Leopard theming has some limitations at this time that I am not aware of how to get around. Sorry- Franco

IIRC, Cloak themes Safari through the SArtFile, so try looking in there.

I am sure given different people's apps/work environment, other things are bound to show up! ![]()
ENJOY!

Re: [theme] Leopard Milk - (ReRelease)
Thanks for your update! But I still found some problems and hoping you can fix it in the next release ![]()
If I used Graphite appearance theme. The background of the selected items is light-grey and the text is write, quite hard to see those texts. Can you change the taskbar's selected background to more dark/grey (Graphite color will be fine) in the Graphite mode?
** PS, I found some "Graphite mandatory" applications like Apple's Aperture is having this problem evenif the "Aqua appearance theme" is selected in the System Preference panel.
Both top corners of the VLC Controller is now become square-corner??? It should be a round-corner.
The trash confirmation window with a black-border line. Can it be done similar to the "Shutdown confirmation window"?
Thanks for your great effort in doing this!

I'm finding that the glyphs on the finder windows are shunted up ie. not centred
(forward/backward list/grid etc)). Is it just my Mac?

An unfortunate side effect of Leopard theming that I am unaware of how to fix. ![]()
