[App] DragNDrop
Download
DragNDrop - This small application creates parallel Finder windows to make drag and drop easy! (similar to Fiwi)
Benefits of this version:
-Extremely easy to setup.
-One app setup & run. (Just set one window the way you like it and set it as default, then you're good to go.)
-First click activates, next click reverts.
-Easy to modify script (with sufficient knowledge of Applescript)
-FREE!
NEW FEATURE:
-Chose between Column view or Row view
I'm still looking for icons... If you come up with some better/ more interesting icons, please let me know! ![]()

Hey I made a blog post highlighting this application along with a video tutorial on installing this app on the finder toolbar, and running it. The video is on youtube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xIPp7mfx1o Also visit my blog at http://TheCheapGeek.wordpress.com This is a great little app that in my opinion is better that fiwi a paid app that does something very similar.

Nice job! This is a great compliment to my layout app. Easy to reset your window positions with layout, and easy to quickly expand your Finder windows to organize files with DragNDrop.
I will definitely be referencing this Script to make it easier for people to store their layout preferences and not have to do the basic manual setup.
Great job!

You can just drag any app and hold, until a plus sign appears, and drop it in the toolbar.

Re: [App] DragNDrop
Hum... "Restore" is a boolean value I established in the .plist file. So I'm assuming is a problem with the .plist of the old version vs. the new version.
Delete your old .plist file, and everything should work fine. It's located at: [User] > Library > Preferences > com.applescript.DragNDrop.plist
If this dosen't work please let me know, but if you do that and run the app it should work itself out... And thanks for the screencast Gotrpms - I'm glad to see someone's using the app.

Re: [App] DragNDrop
Ok, so how do we reset the app? What preferences file do we delete? I messed it up, and I tried to edit the plist, but that isn't working... help please.
Thanks.

Re: [App] DragNDrop
I removed the original app from my toolbar, then moved the actual file to the trash can.
Then navigate to User] > Library > Preferences and move the com.applescript.DragNDrop.plist to the trash as well. Then Empty the trash. Then move the new app to your toolbar and run it. This will prompt for a default finder view and do its job.

Hey, thanks. I feel stupid now for not finding that preferences file.

(DragNDrop: )
Hey, you might want to do something about multidisplay setups: I have dual monitors and only wanted the two finder windows to be displayed on my main screen, but instead had two full-size windows on each screen.
I fixed it to my personal preference after 5 min's editing, using fixed widths and heights instead of the original percentages.
Good app though, thanks a lot. : ]
I'll be posting an Umaso toolbar icon for DragNDrop soon.
