[icon] Yellow Pages

Hey. I'm Matt and this weekend I've worked up my first ever icon. I don't know if this icon is recogniseable to anyone who isn't British but hopefully it is. I think it is of release standard but feel free to move it if you disagree (the standard here is so high smile_worried) I also have no idea what it could be used for cool

Edit: I have improved and updated the icon. I think the shadows in particular are much better now and thanks for the positive and constructive feedback smile

Seems release worthy to me. I know what yellow pages is and I live in the USA. I think you will be fine.

big_smile It wasn't meant in an derogatory "Americans don't know things". I should have just googled it, but do they look the same. I think the walking fingers logo is fairly universal?

I hope someone does find a use for it though wink

Re: [icon] Yellow Pages

The pages look pretty good, I'd give some rough edges to the right hand side to show they're individual pages (edit: just to clarify, I see they're on the 512, but the 128 doesn't have defined pages the same way, which I think you should do) and also work a bit on the shadow (edit: to make it a bit more realistic, like different levels of shadow, like a dark shadow near it and a lighter one that is blurrier that moves away from the book a bit).

In regards to the walking fingers, it's a logo that works with the pages of a book beneath it like you're turning the page:

It's pretty good though, getting there. smile

Hm.  This might make a nice Address Book replacement.

The standard here is not very high, its incredibly high lol, however for a first release this is really good work. smile_thumbupsmile_thumbup

Re: [icon] Yellow Pages

Update in first post.

Thanks for the help with the shadows, the original ones made it look as if it was flying or something smile_blush

Also the walking fingers logo seems to be quite changeable, at the moment they are using a version without the book in the UK. For example

Not having the book makes the icon clearer though?

Edited for typo's wink

I LOVE it, but you should reduce the shine a bit. I feel like there is a spotlight on it. Reduce that, and i would definitely use it!
