[Widget] Internode Usage Meter

In that crazy mixed-up world down under, where internet is outrageously expensive and ISPs limit your downloads, this widget will help you keep track your monthly internet usage on the Australian ISP, Internode.
I found Troy Dack's Internode widget a bit much for at-the-glance looks, so I redesigned it. Some Australians on Macthemes may enjoy it!
Download.

Re: [Widget] Internode Usage Meter
That has got to be one of the sexiest widgets ever!
.
I seriously wish that widget could be used here in Canada...with Rogers (my ISP). We have a limit here. That would be definitely a handy tool. ![]()

Re: [Widget] Internode Usage Meter
it will be great if you can also set your band limit. When I connect with my cellphone I can't exceed 2gb/month. so it would be great if i can set it on the widget. also you should create something that detects if i'm using cellular network or not.
anyway, great widget!

Looks really good. Curious as to what Australians pay for internet per month. I think i pay around 50 or 60 bucks a month for highspeed. Worth every penny though. Anyways, a really good looking widget man. :-D

Probably would of been nice to use the Internode oranges in the colouring. Pity I'm not with them anymore ![]()

That looks really nice! I have unlimited bandwidth so it's no use for me.

In city-but-not-capital-city Australia, we pay $70 ($47US with current exchange rates [1]) for a quota of 35gB on peak, 45gB off peak, at 1500k/256k. Our provider is TPG. Uploads aren’t counted; and going over the limit causes you to be throttled to dial-up speeds. We are on one of the higher usage plans.
Most people, however, are with Telstra, paying more for less; (and having uploads counted) and because of some plans having a $150/GB excess usage cost (with no indication of going over the limit AFAIK) people can easily end up paying a lot more.
Check out the providers on the right hand sidebar of bc.whirlpool.net.au for the plans of popular ISPs (the popular sorting is biased toward good providers due to whirlpool’s geekier audience)
[1]: I want the almost-equal AUD/USD exchange rates back
. The two were almost equal until the “financial crisis”.. It’s forcing me to buy patriotically, by making everything from overseas online ridiculously expensive. ![]()
