[Bowtie Themes] Jverzier’s themes – Update: 12/7

I know the title sounds a little harsh, and I sure could have found a way better name for this. But as I wanted to share my themes, and didn't feel the need to make one topic per release, I figured I would regroup them all here, and update the thread as it goes. If the mods feel it needed to be done else way, please do not hesitate to correct me smile

--------------------------------------------------

Regarding mods: feel free to release any mod you made of my themes, as long as you credit me somewhere.

Philipp Antoni gave me the written authorisation to release such mods. Thank you so much again Philipp for this wonderful theme!

These themes look nicer with Gotham installed on your system. If not, Helvetica will be used.

As said, I will update the thread as I make themes.

Please, do not hesitate to give any feedback, good or/and bad. But restrain from being mean/rude with me or anyone else in this thread: I don't want it to be shut down smile_kiss

yikes Really like! smile_thumbup

Now if I had a version of TypographicVertical with album names and a second row with star ratings and prev/play/next controls, I would be really happy. big_smile

Love the updated theme, but I do have a question.  If I want to resize the text and remove the large semi-transparent "artist" display, how do I do that?

Open the bundle, and delete:

Code:

<div id="blurred">artist</div>

in index.html smile

Great themes Monsieur Verzier! smile smile_thumbup
I'm experiencing a small bug with long titles (and maybe line-height in the background?) in the blurred version (haven't tried other ones) - any quick way to fix this?
Thanks!

Re: [Bowtie Themes] Jverzier’s themes – Update: 12/7

Oops, that's a shame hmm Try tuning down the "max-width" values in index.html. There should be two of them. Cutting them down by a few pixels may help solve the issue. Atleast I hope so. If not, I'll look further in wink

Re: [Bowtie Themes] Jverzier’s themes – Update: 12/7

Thank you J. - changed max-width to 165px and that did it.
I also changed the line-height on #blur to 1.9em and top position to -0.6em (edit: or -34px to get it exactly the same) to prevent the descenders from being cut-off.
Cheers! big_smile

Re: [Bowtie Themes] Jverzier’s themes – Update: 12/7

You're welcome! I didn't think of the descenders hmm Feel free to pack the modified theme and release it here, for those who want the fixes!

I'll release an updated version with descenders not cut off next week. Thanks for the feedback, I greatly appreciate it smile_thumbup

Re: [Bowtie Themes] Jverzier’s themes – Update: 12/7

Sure, →here it is, if anyone needs it.

By the way, I didn't spend any time testing what line-height value would be optimal, etc. - just a quick fix for the impatient type like myself wink

I love the beauty of just plain text. And Helvetica would have been my first choice. My favorite theme for Bowtie i think. Thanks man!! Also thanks ptitus for the fix. smile

Re: [Bowtie Themes] Jverzier’s themes – Update: 12/7

Your themes are my favorites. I try each one as soon as it's out. smile

In both MinimalMod and MinimalModRight, there seems to be a bug upon quitting iTunes, Bowtie locks up and you have to force quit it. Or, if you have Bowtie set to hide when iTunes isn't running, it takes a long time after quitting iTunes for Bowtie to unfreeze and hide the theme. It's not happening with any of your other themes, so I'm not sure what it is. Just thought I'd give a heads up.

Keep up the awesome work. smile_thumbup
