* Mail PSD With Editable Text*

Yes you can edit the text to say what you would like it to say.
I tried to use a font that everyone should have, change it as you like.

Note: The photo is editable as well, it's not really intended for you to use
that picture in the stamp it was just for the purpose of the preview

Everything is on a separate layer and can be edited (photoshop, etc)

So go be freely creative!

i made a pack with stuff for mac, and it can be downloaded on a weblog, can i have your permission to include your awsome mail icon in the pack? or can i just put the link to to the deviantart site to get the icon? its a great idea for mail, im tired of the eagle

Wow, thats for the feature Yes, please put the link to the deviation.
Also you could use the preview image as well if you want...
Please link me to it so i can see it as well as the others you plan to post

FYI: You can't edit PSD text layers in Pixelmator since Pixelmator imports the layers as a rasterized layer. Other than that, the icon is very nice. Thanks for the editable version.

Gimp is free: http://www.macgimp.org/

Its very capable, but not the friendliest thing around. If you don't have other options, its definitely worth a look-see.

Alternatively, you could download a Photoshop trial from Adobe.com, or a Fireworks Beta for a longer duration software trial. Put "Photoshop Download" in the Inquisitor bar and I'm sure you'll figure something out.

By "incorrect" you mean? To me, my design is neither correct nor incorrect, it's a representation, not a duplication.
There was no intension for it to be a duplicate of any particular post office mark if that's what you thought.
Unless I'm not quite getting the point of what you're saying... please elaborate

I think it all looks just fine, and it's not like we can't edit the circles to make them look how we like eh?

I've been using that british stamp for ages, but the text always annoyed me - Stockley Park yes, US no! Now I can "fix" it how I like!

Just recolour it in PhotoShop (or whatever you use), that's why he provided us with a PSD!

http://www.hawkwings.net is a great resource for all things Mail.app, including squillions of replacement icons based on real and imagined stamps from around the globe - that is, when the site's working properly... He seems to suffer occasional outages

ive tried to edit that text in gimp but i just cant, i could only edit the layers name, it must be so easy but i just cant seem to get it, sorry
