[iPhone Theme] Dark Aluminum Shelves UPDATED 04/13/08
inspired by Spargett's wooden shelves.
Update: I tweaked the background a bit, added some depth to the shelves and adjusted the colors a little. (see post #12 if you show labels on your icons). I also made a couple of wallpapers for the lock screen.
I didn't realize flickr converted all my png's to jpegs, so here's the download link for the pack.

The NEW IMPROVED background:
Lock screen wallpapers:

(note: I found the apple icon on google... so if it's yours let me know)
Happy holidays!
UPDATE: SEE page 2 for customizable versions of the shelves.

Very nice... but the only thing that annoys me is that the text below the icons is a little too high on the shelves.. Is there any chance you can either lower them, or supply the PSD? Cheers ![]()

here ya go (I moved the shelves up 2 pixels, if I move em up 3, the icons are gonna fall off) :
I just realized this is a jpeg. The wallpaper is in the zip file linked above. It's the one called wallpaperLabels.png

Nice job, the dark feel is nice.
Especially for the cold, cold winter. It also has a slight modern feel as well.
Tip for everyone: If you're feeling like messing around, try using the original Apple dock, it lines up really nice.

instal the program called AFPd from Installer. go into the program and turn it on. look at the ip address at the bottom of the page. now go to finder and on the top menubar select Go- Connect to Server...
type in the ip address. when it asks you which volume to mount choosse "iPhone Root FileSystem"
The username is root and the password is alpine.
now open up the new mounted disk. open the folder var, root and then library. in here is the summerboard folder and in the summerboard folder is the themes folder. this is where you should put the themes.
you can also make your own themes. just add a folder to the themes folder. call it whatever you want. put in whichever wallpaper you want and make sure its called "wallpaper.png" (no quotes and you can rename something by clicking the file and pressing enter). add a dock and call it dock.png and make another folder called icons. in here put any icons that you want and name them for the program you want them to replace. when you select the theme those icons will be a part of it. you can look at other themes to see what i'm talking about.

Would you mind releasing the shelves on top of a transparent background? I would like to put them on my own wallpaper. They look really good.![]()

These are the icons I used: Fresh, Louie Alt Colors, WinterBoard, Louie Renaissance, Jonas. They're all available in the iphone forum. I changed the colors on a couple of them.
Here's an alternative download link:

Any chance of getting the icons you used? I can't quite replicate your icons.
I think your theme is the absolute best one I have seen yet.
Period.
