List of colors for iTunes 7.2

Since I spent some time finding these values I though I'd share them with my fellow themers, maybe they'll be helpful to some smile

The first value is the original color used in iTunes, the second one is the exact offset in the iTunes app file (This means you only have to change each value once, instead of running search & replace).

Using these values you can make iTunes look like this if you have to tongue

To change the LCD EQ colors take a look here.

Re: List of colors for iTunes 7.2

Thanks so much for this! smile

I used the LCD EQ colors tool, and used Hex Fiend to make the changes, which I can confirm are changed in the resource.   However, even after restarting the application and the computer, it's not changing the colors.

Is there a step I am missing?

Re: List of colors for iTunes 7.2

Well, if you are sure you edited the right part of the right file then I'm sorry but it has to work hmm

You could try to edit a new original copy of the iTunes app and replace some colors in the LCD block ( 22222176 - 22222380 ) with random FF FF 's to see whether *anything* changes.

Ok - thanks.   The thing is your directions were so clear, and even when I went back in to double check my work, it seemed exactly right... hehe smile   I will start with a fresh copy and see what happens.   I thought maybe the OS may have cached it or something.

Thanks.

Re: List of colors for iTunes 7.2

Dont forget the LCD color values are listed in two seperate places, I can only assume once for Intel and once for PPC

The other set of color codes for it can be found at offsets 9888688 for the Background, and  9888896 for the EQ Stripes, starting with the same digits as listed in his instructions.

Try replacing those too, and see if it works for you

Ahhh - I wonder if I just replaced the intel ones (which is why I don't see them).   Thanks for the tip - I will try as soon as I get home!

Ive only replaced the first set a few times, and it didnt effect my intel machine, and the ones Philipp has listed are the ones i had to change.

So i'm guessing ithats exactly the issue smile

Let me know wink

Re: List of colors for iTunes 7.2

Well, duh! Why didn't I think of that tongue It's a universal binary so there have to be two values for each color tongue

I'll update the guide as soon as I have some time.

Re: List of colors for iTunes 7.2

Have you had any success changing the actual black aqualizer bands themselves?

I've got some nice LCD mockups i put together a while back, but I havent had any success changing the colors.

Re: List of colors for iTunes 7.2

I didn't try really hard but the black bars are among the elements I can't change yet sad (besides the active window title color and the playback progress stripes)

Re: List of colors for iTunes 7.2

Success, but in my file, the second location for the EQ stripes was 9888898 NOT  9888896 -- FYI.    Thanks again for this great help smile

Re: List of colors for iTunes 7.2

Hi Phillip,

great someone finally took the initiative to post these D*** colors:-))

However, there are many more - MANY more colors to change... Some of them however, are to be Njoyed with a bit of caution specially when wanting to keep the iTunes Music Store content readable.

At some point of time (I'm lazy and Busy) I'll post an amendment to your list

Peace

Re: List of colors for iTunes 7.2

Hi, I'm a little confused about how to change the color of the background behind the EQ bar so that it will not be yellow and look horrible with a theme. I don't see that listed here but it appears people are taking about it. I am using the UNO theme and it changes that up to version 7.3.1 but I want to do it to 7.5. I have emailed the developer of UNO asking what I need to edit and he never told me. I have modded lots of stuff in the past but I can't figure this one out. Thanks for any help…
Edit: I finally managed to find the offset in 7.5 but I still need some help with the song selection color. I read the list above, but I must have missed something. Is the one that says "List Selected Row" the one that determines the song selection color? Edit: To answer my own question, Yes.
Here's what I discovered (after clicking on a bunch of Google search results).
The guide that I read was for iTunes 4.7 (and I think the first two are obsolete).

Code:

D6D6 DBDB BFBF Background of "Audio Analyzer"
1616 1616 1414 Level marks of "Audio Analyzer"
1616 1616 1414 Maximum Level Mark of "Audio Analyzer"
C4C4 C8C8 B0B0 "Ticks" on background of "Audio Analyzer"
D6D6 DBDB BFBF Background between the ticks on "Audio Analyzer"
2222 2222 2222 Text on metal (i.e. song totals, etc.)
8888 8888 8888 Window Title Disabled
FFFF FFFF FFFF Text on selected source and (Active) selected song
D9D9 D9D9 D9D9 Vertical separators in playlist
3434 6D6D BEBE Vertical separators for selected song (active)
ACAC ACAC ACAC Vertical separators for selected song (inactive)
F7F7 F7F7 F7F7 Background of party shuffle controls
6666 6666 6666 Inside of bevel around source/playlist
9393 9393 9393 Top of bevel around source/playlist
F0F0 F0F0 F0F0 Bottom of bevel around source/playlist
E0E0 E0E0 E0E0 Left side of bevel around source/playlist
E0E0 E0E0 E0E0 Right side of bevel around source/playlist
3D3D 8080 DFDF Background of row for selected song (active)
C0C0 C0C0 C0C0 Background of row for selected song (inactive)
C0C0 C0C0 C0C0 Bevel on the word "Source" at the top of the source list
EDED F3F3 FEFE Background color of odd numbered rows in playlists
FFFF FFFF FFFF Background color of even numbered rows in playlists
7D7D AAAA EAEA Hilite or bevel of selected song row in playlist (active)
E0E0 E0E0 E0E0 Hilite or bevel of selected song (inactive)
E8E8 E8E8 E8E8 Bevel of text on metal (i.e. song totals, etc.)
