IDK if this is the right spot for this, but i was wondering if any1 would be interested in making an SB Setting Toggle to turn on and off the "Shake-To-Shuffle" feature for the iphone.

Modification for new Thread Title:

People request this thread be renamed to "Official SBSettings Toggle Request Thread" so i did so. Fluffy has made the initial request, and i'm sure he'd be willing to make more if requested. I'm also quite sure there are plenty of other developers out there if this thread picks up that wouldn't mind making some. so post away your ideas. no matter how crazy, if you need it, some1 out there hopefully will code it.

Seems to me more like something that should be added to preferences. Why would you be switching back and forth? I would love to turn it off, so I'm with you on we need something.
It IS in preferences under iPod I believe. But I would like a toggle because my non iPhone using friends like to air drum with tHe iPod while we listen to music. So they always shuffle. An easy off would fix it.
Oh! Cool, thanx for the tip :)
There have been a lot of SBS Toggles threads lately, maybe we need an "Official SBSettings Toggle Request thread"

ok, i'm trying to make a shake to shuffle toggle. but it only works after you kill and restart the iPod app. so it's really not useful
No respring required? I still think it's semi useful. As by restart iPod do u mean like kill in processes restart or just open and close the actual screen? It's useful cuz navigation to the option through preference is annoying and takes forever. Do u think there is anyway to fix the restaet issue? If not I'd still like the feature.

you need to kill the actual ipod process, not just go to the home screen and then click ipod again. I'll submit it to bigboss and see if it gets in.
Sweet. If you ever figure out how to do it without the restart I guess send out an update. Should I rename this thread to "SBSettings Toggle Requests"?

yeah, you probably should rename the thread. no need to make a whole new one. and bigboss said he wont accept the toggle until it works without restarting iPod, so i'll just post it Here for now.

Any other requests?
How bout push notifications? I'll download it when I get home.

i tried a push notifications one, but it only took effect after a respring. i'm kinda stuck with that one :(

If you figure it out and fix the iPod shake one you'd be awesome:)
scratch that, found it...

Well, i went through my settings page, and just looked around at some things i think might make good toggles. again MIGHT! so don't bash me-_-

-Vibration
-Shuffle
-Repeat
-Popup Blocker
-The MMS Feature
-SMS Alert Repeat
-A processes like view of Equalizer choices
-And a slider toggle(like brightness) for how long the lockscreen is shown for.

some of these features are from SP3, ro the new Supreme S, so i don't know how that will work for this. just suggestions tho.

the push notifications toggle is working and is awaiting approval from bigboss.
awesome, have u taken any closer looks into the shake-to-shuffle fix? or any of the other suggestions?
I would LOVE a toggle to turn off the stupid coverflow

better yet, an MS extension to permanently disable it

just get the rotation disabler toggle thing. it diesables the accelorometer. and most of those requests are iphone specific, i only have an ipod touch so it would be very difficult for me to make those, but the others i will look into.
the rotation toggle does not work on 3.0

only the safari part works, not coverflow.
I think this thread is pretty pointless. has any sbsettings toggle been made of the million reqests for them on here? no, because even if there was a legitimate amount of people who wanted them, it depends on the about 3 iphone coders we have on here to make them, and they most likely don't care enough to put the work into them themselves even if they wanted them.

fiftyfour just said he made a toggle for push notifications, what some of us asked for. so things do get done. The push one will be awesome, bugs me having to go through settings for things that are just on/off. thanks fiftyfour.

mine works fine for coverflow and stopping it.
:o
can to link me to what / where you downloaded it?

EDIT: Its called "Rotation Inhibitor" from iSpazio :D NOT to be mistaken with "NoRotation." The latter caused my cydia to crash, until i manually removed it

thanks

It should be possible to kill the process directly by your toggle.
The Safari Download toggle does the same.

Must be related to some changes in SBSettings 3.0, as BigBoss said this toggle wasn't possible before.
